I pitched a $2,000+ product to thousands of people on a webinar, and the comments were full of "you're so not salesy." ⁠

So let me tell you what I think is actually going on.⁠

It comes down to three things.⁠

👉🏻 First, consent. I tell people upfront what the webinar covers, who it's for, and who should probably leave. ⁠

I even mention the pitch before it happens and ask if that's okay. The chat explodes with yeses every time. People just want to feel like they have a choice.⁠

👉🏻 Second, I genuinely don't care if people buy. ⁠
⁠
Not in a defeated way. In a "I only want the right people" way. ⁠
⁠
👉🏻 Third, I tell people no. All the time. ⁠
⁠
If someone DMs me asking if the Ultimate Bundle® is right for them and it's not, I say so. ⁠

And I didn’t expect it to feel like relief.
