Threads vs. Twitter

It has been over a year since Threads has made it’s way into the social media world. In episode 142 of my podcast, On Your Terms®, I shared my initial thoughts and how I felt about using the platform. I really enjoyed having this laid-back discussion on what could be considered a ‘controversial’ topic with you and I hope you like it, too!

Threads vs. Twitter: Can Twitter Legally Threaten Threads?

????Threads vs. Twitter

AKA: Can Twitter actually take legal action against Threads? I’m breaking down the claims and legal terminology behind the situation. At the end of it, you might even see Twitter’s frustration.

Threads, the social media app, formed in July 2023. The integration with Instagram makes it super easy to use and navigate. When Meta launched threads, it only took 5 days to reach 100 million users.

The Threads app allows the user to discuss trending topics, post longer videos, and has a 500 character limit. Twitter, now known as X, allows 280 characters. Twitter has been owned by Elon Musk since October 2022.

???? My thoughts on the surprising reasons people are saying they like the app more than Instagram

I may or may not get a little spicy about thoughts on paid ads and how we can show up the same on Instagram as we do on Threads if we just get a little curious.

????How I’m using Threads in my own life/business

For me, Threads is a fun place for personal connection and behind-the-scenes sharing rather than serious business.

I might be biased, but episode 142 is a thought-provoking conversation with room for reflection, and some laughs along the way.

It can feel so overwhelming with all the social networks. I recently took a break from my Instagram accounts and felt a sense of relief, reiterating my concerns about the toll constant content production can take on our mental health and attention spans.

Threads vs. Twitter | I prioritize creating evergreen content

While I value the potential of every social media platform, I prioritize creating evergreen content that consistently drives traffic to my business. That said, let’s remember to keep an open mind, explore new ideas, and remember that the value of a platform may change over time.
