Hey, you! I always found these fun, random surveys on my favorite blogs to be so interesting — so I thought I’d share one with you today. I’d love to hear some of your answers to these questions, too! I love getting to know each and every one of you ; ) For those of you who I don’t know, I’m Sam Vander Wielen — the owner of Sam Vander Wielen LLC, and the gal behind the site. I love learning random stuff about people, so here are a few fun randoms about me…
Where are you from?: born in Philadelphia, PA & raised in South Jersey, just a few miles outside the city! I still call this place home.
What’s the weirdest thing you ever ate? Oh boy… I’m not too adventurous when it comes to eating crazy foods! You will never catch me eating a bug or weird animal part!! ? So I’d have to say that the weirdest thing(s) I ever ate probably happened while I was in China. I was 16 & it was my first time outside of North America, so I tried to be open and try (most) weird things.
What was the last live concert you saw? Dave Matthews Band! I try to go every summer. I know… basic.
What is your can’t-live-without beauty product? Piper Wai! It’s an all-natural deodorant that’s also made by 2 women from Philly (my hometown!). It smells amazing & actually works. I can’t get enough of it. (PS. Use this link to get 15% off your first order! WOO HOO!)
Favorite jeans you can’t live without: anything & everything Paige Denim.
Your go-to food indulgence: well, for starters – the health coach in me has to say that I don’t really call it an “indulgence” because I don’t like to demonize foods/food groups. BUT – I do love good water ice (the kind with real fruit in it), popcorn, and chocolate covered strawberries. I’m a salt over sugar kind of gal.
Book you’re reading right now: “All Over the Place: Adventures in Travel, True Love, & Petty Theft” by Geraldine DeRuiter. I also keep going back to “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert for business inspiration.
Favorite place you’ve ever traveled? Easy! Thailand. A close second: Amsterdam, Sweden, Copenhagen, Petra Jordan, Jerusalem, and Italy. Can you tell I love to travel?
Place you’re going next: France + Spain!
Favorite thing about being an entrepreneur: helping other women build their own businesses & empowering them w/ the info + resources they need to protect themselves. After years of feeling really lost as an attorney, I feel like I’ve really found my calling. I also love how (after working super hard) I have the flexibility now to live my life in a way that works for me & my family.
OK, you go! I want to hear more about you. What’s the best place you’ve ever traveled? What books are you reading right now? Where are you from?
