5 Lessons from Trader Joe’s
After being in the online space for years, one thing I’ve noticed about small business owners is that we tend to think too small – myself included if I’m not careful.
Whether it’s looking to other people in our space for inspiration or setting goals based on what others have achieved, we limit ourselves.
That’s why I’m always drawing inspiration from “bigger” businesses that aren’t afraid to blaze their own trail, like Trader Joe’s.
And listen, I know we’re not all out here trying to create grocery-store-sized businesses, but there’s still a ton we can take away from how they market their brand that we can apply in our small online businesses.
In today’s On Your Terms podcast episode, I delve into the success strategies of TJ’s, the iconic and most beloved grocery store in America, and reveal the takeaways I’ve applied to my online business, like:
➡️ If you take care of your customers, they’ll sell your offer for you
➡️ How offering fewer options makes buying easier for your customer
➡️ The best way to pick up on trends while making them your own (no copying)
➡️ Knowing who you are and sticking to it
➡️ Creating a fun environment for your community, contractors, and customers
Whether you’re a TJs fan or just eager to look outside of the online space for business inspiration, this episode is packed with gems you won’t want to miss!
