6 Lessons Learned from my $8 Million+ Digital Product

Hi from the Windy City! I’m in Chicago to re-film every single video inside of my best-selling program, the Ultimate Bundle®️.

When I created the Bundle 8 years ago, I had no idea it would become what it is today — a program that has over 4,500 students creating incredible businesses all over the world, worth well over $8 million, and basically the focus of my everyday

The Ultimate Bundle®️’s success didn’t happen by accident.

And it definitely didn’t happen overnight.

Over the years, I’ve fought the temptation to complicate it, focus on something new, or add too much to something that people already paid once for.

Here’s what I’ve learned from creating one digital product that’s generated well over $8 million in revenue alone:

VOICE OF CUSTOMER

What I think you should know doesn’t matter — it’s all about my customer. What are their worries, concerns, anxieties? How would they put it? What are they truly worried about, even beyond the surface level responses?

I use their responses — word-for-word — in my copy, language, marketing strategies, and tone of voice.

REIN IT IN

Fight the (natural) tendency to want to include everything in your product. Pull out a few goodies and include them as bonuses, order bumps (at checkout) and upsells, instead. Be careful how much support you offer, for how long. Don’t say “lifetime access” (I suggest “lifetime of the program” or a time limit.)

BUILD YOUR FUNNEL

Once people start purchasing your product, and you know it works, reverse engineer a funnel to it. Start with something free (ie., webinar, freebie, live call) that goes to a pitch for your product.

TURN ON THE FAUCET

Once you’ve mastered , turn on ads. Ads are a fantastic faucet — they push additional traffic through something that already works. Turning on ads before you’ve testing something organically is like pouring water through a pipe you know has holes in it.

OLIVE GARDEN EFFECT

Taking a nod from my dad, Norm’s fav, once you’re here — you’re family. Treating customers with respect, quick responses, and care leads to happy customers. Happy customers refer new customers… for free! They will also be happy to offer social proof.

REPEAT

One of the biggest reasons I’ve been able to build the Bundle to what it is is because of my unrelenting ability to repeat myself, my content, my processes, launches, etc. without quitting.

It would have been so easy to create another product, or assume ‘everyone knows’ about the Bundle already and then stop talking about it.

Remember: new people are seeing you for the first time. The rest of the people don’t remember your program — and they definitely don’t know the acronym for it, so please stop doing that! — from anyone else’s.

Repeat yourself until you can’t take it anymore. And then repeat it again.
